About A Dog is now more than two years into our journey to help animals in need, and thanks to the support of tens of thousands of households, we have raised more than $31,000 for our cause.
When we started this journey, we made a commitment; not just to care for our furry mates, but also to remain accountable to our incredible customers and continue looking for ways to better achieve our goals. In the spirit of this commitment, we asked for your feedback, and you delivered!
Your responses sent us into a deep-dive, and we recognised that of the more than 760 organisations in Australia supporting pets, native wildlife, and farm animals, 64% receive no government funding, relying solely on donations to carry out their vital work. With the rise in operating costs, it’s becoming even more difficult for these organisations to function without additional financial support.
Naturally, About A Dog is all about supporting the underdog. Thanks to your feedback, we have made some big changes, and are now giving you the power to nominate your favourite animal welfare organisations here. It’s simple:
- Nominate your favourite animal welfare organisation
- Your nominations will be reviewed and vetted regularly by our team and narrowed down to a selection of deserving organisations each quarter, which will be featured on our website.
- When you purchase from us, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about our current highlighted organisations and then choose which one will benefit from your donation.
Our aim is simple; supporting local animal welfare organisations and the everyday heroes that run them, all over Australia.
Together, we can ensure that even more of our furry friends and the organisations that help them are given the chance to thrive.
