Social Media Manager

Location: At home work, on-site at Milperra, Sydney, when needed and occasional interstate travel

1.Ā Demonstrated success in running multiple comprehensive strategies across multiple social media platforms
2.Ā A proven knowledge in the pet and animal welfare space, working across either a pet brand, domestic animals in shelters or rescues, a medical veterinarian background or wildlife conservation
3. Experience working with stakeholders and partners to develop collaborative content Ā

About A Dog is an Australian-made essentials brand that uses everyday products to create meaningful impact for animals through supporting shelters and rescues. Our growth in support across multiple stakeholders has amplified demand to create a position for social media manager to join our team.

Ā What youāll be responsible for
- Day ā to Day Managing of About A Dogās social media channels, primarily
Instagram and TikTok to achieve the set targets and KPIās - Developing and executing social media strategies aligned with brand and business objectives
- Planning, managing and optimising social media content calendars
- Develop and implement content to drive growing sales and customer retention.
- Translating trends into on-brand, high-performing content
- Writing clear, engaging captions that reflect the About A Dog brand voice
- Managing creators, UGC partnerships and external collaborators
- Manage and create content creation at shoots, events and brand activations
- Providing real-time coverage at launches and events when required
- Monitoring performance, reporting on results and refining strategy based on insights
- Ensuring consistency across all social touchpoints
What weāre looking for
- Proven experience managing social media accounts for a brand or agency
- Strong understanding of Instagram and TikTok platforms, formats and performance drivers
- Experience building and executing social strategies, not just publishing content, confident in analysing results and using data to inform decisions
- Ability to brief creators and manage collaborations effectively
- Strong written communication skills with attention to brand tone
- Highly organised and comfortable managing multiple priorities
- Interest in purpose-driven brands and community-focused storytelling
- Sydney-based, with availability to work hybrid from our Milperra office
- Willingness to travel domestically as required
