The Cat that Built About a Dog
Tera was a little guy at Campbelltown Animal Care Facility who had been marked as not fit for adoption. He needed extra time, patience and care to help him feel safe around people again.
In stepped one of our founders, Jaz, and his partner. They gave Tera a home and, over time, plenty of love and patience. Slowly, he began to trust people again.
Eight years later, Tera is almost unrecognisable from the cat he once was. He now demands attention, loves to be held and definitely isn’t shy about letting you know when he wants a cuddle.
How you can support Cats
Working with Tera opened Jaz’s eyes to how many animals are labelled as “troubled” simply because shelters and rescues don’t have the resources to give every animal the extra time and care they need.
Today, About A Dog supports a range of organisations helping cats like Tera get the care, time and second chance they deserve.
