They’re Australia’s first B-Corp certified veterinary service, and they’re changing lives by keeping vulnerable people and their companion animals together—through accessible veterinary care, crisis support, and community programs.
At its heart, Cherished Pets believes that pets are family—and no one should have to give up their beloved animal due to hardship.
How Cherished Pets Supports People and Animals
Cherished Pets combines professional veterinary care with social work services to support people in need, including:

Those experiencing homelessness or domestic violence
Individuals facing social isolation or chronic illness

Home Pet Care: Helping seniors and people with mobility challenges care for their animals at home.
Crisis Pet Support: Temporary pet care and boarding during hospital stays or emergencies.
Veterinary Social Work: Compassionate case management that considers both human and animal wellbeing.
To date, Cherished Pets has helped over 5,000 people and pets and delivered more than $4 million in social value across the community.
